After photographing the Fearnley Wedding 5 years earlier at the same location, the now Mrs Doyle contacted me and asked if I would do her wedding too, the bride (Mrs Fearnley) from 5 years ago was now the bridesmaid so it was a bit like déjà vu.
I have never to this day never seen a bride so emotional it was selfishly lovely to watch, the whole day through, from getting ready to walking down the isle, to the speeches and first dance.
Leasowe Castle has a new ceremony room, which is lovely modern bright and airy yet with a touch of traditional with reclaimed church pews. Beautiful daughter of the bride and groom looked so cute in her little white dress like mummy, every time I pointed the camera at her she like a switch pulled the cheesiest beaming smile, so funny.
The groom and his brood of mates ‘the lads’ playing the goat throughout the day made it all great fun.
The day – the bride – the venue – the food – the weather was all beautiful. We even had a few congratulations from golfers as we carefully and respectfully made our way across the course to the sea front to get some beach shots.
The Father of the Bride speech was hilarious causing people to spit their celebratory bubbles back into their glasses through classically timed funny punchlines.
And they added the photo-booth style shoot for the evening which topped off the fun day, expecting guests to wait till after the first dance and a few drinks before going mad with the props was a bad judgement call, it started the minute I was set up, a great fun bunch all day and all night.
